PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Happy Thursday morning everyone!
It’s a quiet start on satellite and radar with only a few clouds in place. Not much has changed in yesterday’s forecast.
It’s a hot and humid fresh start with temperatures and dew points starting the day in the high 70s. We’ll want to dress comfortably for another toasty warm day. Highs today easily reach the 90s inland to the upper 80s on the beaches. Those around the bays will have a decent chance of making it past the 90s.
Let’s take it easy if we do strenuous activities outside this afternoon. Find shade, take breaks and drink plenty of water today and tomorrow too.
The high is still in place for today. This will once again remove the chances of rain. We were only able to develop a few quick showers yesterday, and it seems even less today.
Chances of rain resume towards the end of the week and weekend as the high pressure ridge slides eastward. A few quick thunderstorms develop by Friday afternoon.
Widely dispersed and periodic storms are expected Saturday, with some persisting Sunday as well.
For today mostly sunny skies with warm temperatures in the upper 80s to mid 90s. -end.
