MARLBOROUGH, MA – Welcome to the June 6 edition of The Monday Manual, where we highlight important events coming up during the week in the Patch communities between Wayland and Worcester.

Here’s what you need to know for the week of June 6:


Marlborough

Marlborough’s 2022 Summer Concert Series kicks off Thursday with two performances at Memorial Beach. From noon to 2 p.m., the band Flashback will play for seniors alongside a barbecue at an event hosted by the Marlborough Senior Center. Then at 6:30 p.m., a concert featuring classic rockers Late Bus will come to, well, rock the beach.

worcester

Worcester’s biggest birthday celebration will take place this coming weekend. The town’s 300th anniversary will feature music, a parade and festival and more. See the full lineup of Worcester Tercentenary events here.

Wayland

It’s a good week for a taco in Wayland. The new restaurant in town, Yo Boca Taco, just opened a few days ago. The taco restaurant at 28 Boston Post Road also serves hot dogs, breakfast tacos, smoothies and coffee.

Milford

It’s a big week for the seniors at Milford High School. Graduation will take place on Sunday at the school. If you’d like to honor graduates, the MHS Booster Club is hosting a special fundraiser this year, offering Milford High School logo stencil on your property.

Westborough

It’s the end of the school year in Westborough, and that means outgoing Year 5 students will soon be able to use the “teen zone” area of ​​the library. The library will throw a party on Tuesday at 3 p.m. to celebrate progressing students and their new library privileges.

Sudbury

The Sudbury Disability Commission will screen a documentary at the Goodnow Library which shows how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected people living with disabilities. A panel discussion with workers from the Guild of Social Services will follow the screening.

Shrewsbury

A running club based at Marathon Sports in Shrewsbury will start tuesday for the summer. Shoe company Saucony will be on hand to demonstrate new running sneakers and the store will provide snacks. Runners of all levels are welcome.
