Harry ‘spoke out’ about William long before the Megxit
PRINCE Harry ‘fancied’ about William years before the Megxit and grew jealous of his older brother’s conservation work, a royal biographer has claimed.
Tina Brown, the author of a bombshell new book on the royal family, says the Duke of Sussex got “angry” because he felt William was “hogging the best records”.
According to the expert, Harry’s frustration with William began long before he announced that he and his wife Meghan Markle would step down as senior royals in January 2020.
Almost a decade before, Ms Brown claims Harry ‘opened up’ about William to his then-girlfriend Cressida Bonas, whom he dated for two years from 2012.
Writing in The Palace Papers: Inside The House Of Windsor – The Truth And The Turmoil, Ms Brown claims: ‘When he wasn’t talking about William, he was pouring out resentments about Charles.’
The biographer says the relationship between the two brothers became strained before Meghan Markle came onto the scene, as they had a rivalry over their shared interest in conservation.
“Friction between the brothers escalated over their professional alignments,” Ms Brown writes in the book.
“William knew he had to respect the pecking order when it came to his father’s ownership of the environmental rig, but he was less willing to access his brother.”
