Did you know that there was once a casino in Vilano Beach? Learn about its history on a relaxing walk along the beach. A volunteer from St. Johns County Parks and Recreation will lead the walk on Friday, August 12 from 3-4 p.m. The free walk departs from the Vilano Beach Pavilion at 2750 Anahma Drive.

Get ready to run in the St. Johns PAL Donut Dash 5K and Munchkin Fun Run on Saturday.

St. Johns PAL Donut Dash 5K and Munchkin Fun Run

Get up early on Saturday morning and take part in the Donut Run at Nocatee Station Field. To benefit the St. Johns Police Athletic League, the 5K is timed and scored, and results will be posted during the race as well as immediately after. Prizes will be awarded to the top men and women, and the top three men and women in five-year age groups.

Not only local musicians, but art exhibits are also available during this event at the St. Augustine Pier, beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17. The art exhibit starts at 3 p.m. with music from local DJs and a local food truck. Live music begins at 7 p.m. and attendees can bring their own chairs, coolers, and picnic baskets. The event is free.
