This week begins and ends with music, with a few in the middle as well. Start with a country music concert at The Amp, complete with Music and Art by the Sea on Wednesday and finish with local musician Tommy Bledsoe on Thursday. In between, you can take a historic walk along Vilano Beach or run to help the St. Johns Police Athletic League.
History of Vilano Beach Walk
Did you know that there was once a casino in Vilano Beach? Learn about its history on a relaxing walk along the beach. A volunteer from St. Johns County Parks and Recreation will lead the walk on Friday, August 12 from 3-4 p.m. The free walk departs from the Vilano Beach Pavilion at 2750 Anahma Drive.

Country music star, songwriter and CMA Award winner Lee Brice will perform at the St. Augustine Amphitheater at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 12. With songs like “Love Like Crazy”, “Hard to Love” and “I Don’t Dance”, Brice is considered one of the most played country artists. And it will bring special guests Michael Ray and Jackson Dean.

St. Johns PAL Donut Dash 5K and Munchkin Fun Run
Get up early on Saturday morning and take part in the Donut Run at Nocatee Station Field. To benefit the St. Johns Police Athletic League, the 5K is timed and scored, and results will be posted during the race as well as immediately after. Prizes will be awarded to the top men and women, and the top three men and women in five-year age groups.

Music and Art by the Sea 2022
Not only local musicians, but art exhibits are also available during this event at the St. Augustine Pier, beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17. The art exhibit starts at 3 p.m. with music from local DJs and a local food truck. Live music begins at 7 p.m. and attendees can bring their own chairs, coolers, and picnic baskets. The event is free.

Words and Music Series with Tommy Bledsoe
End the week on a musical note on Thursday, August 18, with local musician, writer and teacher Tommy Bledsoe, from 1 to 2 p.m. Presented by EMMA Concerts, the free show brings together a variety of music and cultures as Bledsoe mixes songs, storytelling and dance in his show at the Water Works building.
