Charlie Edward Craig, 69, of Benton, visited his lord on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

He was born on October 2, 1952 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Earnie Matheson, Sr. and Virginia Ratliff Matheson.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Rebecca June Ramos, his sister, Cheryl Craig and his brother, Virgil Matheson.

He served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1975, stationed on the USS Tusk and USS Gato. Mr. Craig worked at the Pine Bluff Dockyard for 24 years. Before his health problems, he worked in their special response team. He enjoyed working with wood, hunting, fishing, camping, going to the beach and riding his motorbike. He made two motorcycle trips a year with his friends.

Above all, he loved his Lord and his family. He was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Paulette Hamman Craig, his daughter, Bonnie Rowland and her husband Alex, his son-in-law, Brian Ramos and his wife Hallie, his grandchildren, Parker Ramos, Ayla Hudson, John Rowland and Caroline and Harper Raney, brothers, Danny Craig (Dawana) of Paragould, Pat Matheson (Barbie) of Rison, Lewis Matheson of Rison, Earnie Matheson, Jr. of Little Rock, sisters, Glenda Hicks (Chuck) of White Hall and Sharon Lee (Roger) of Malvern.

The family would like to especially thank all of the caregivers, Caytie Cook, Sam Stoops, Cara Kinkide and Lorie Benson for all the love and support they have shown Charlie and his family.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Bro. Wade Toddy officiating. Interment followed at Mount Zion Cemetery.
