PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Anne E. Smith Kenney, 62, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 10, 2022, after a three-year battle with cancer.
Anne was born to the late Harry C. Smith and the late Francis M. Morsch Smith on January 4, 1960 in Warren. She graduated from Newton Falls High School in 1978 and became a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
Anne was married to her husband, Joseph Kenney, for 36 years. In addition to traveling and spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed volunteering for St. Bernadette Church, where she was a parishioner.
Anne was an avid reader, Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, and loved boating, camping, and doing puzzles.
Anne is survived by her husband, Joseph Kenney of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; son, Ryan (Taylor) Kenney of Pompano Beach, Florida; brothers, Ralph (Penny) Smith of Port Richey, Florida, and Kevin (Beth) Smith of N. Charleston, SC; a niece, Juli (PJ); and four nephews, Matt Smith, Jaeson Smith, Drew Smith and Matthew Kenney from Djibouti, Africa.
She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Smith; and his sister, Karen Mitchell.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at St. Bernadette’s Church, 7450 Stirling Road, Hollywood, FL 33024.
After the service, friends and family will join in celebrating Anne’s life at the Pembroke Lakes Golf and Country Club, 10500 Taft St., Pembroke Pines, FL 33026.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to be made to their favorite charity in Anne’s honor.
